About Us
Growing up, Kurt Rushlow, KOR Construction Inc. Owner & Lead Builder, was always fascinated by the custom house designs he would watch his father create as an architect.
Wanting to be a part of making those designs come to life, Kurt started framing with some of the Greater Toronto Area and Durham Region’s top home builders and quickly realized his natural skills and love for the trade—leading him to establish KOR Construction in 2013.
Kurt is a fourth-generation industry expert, with his father (architect), grandfather (home builder) and great-grandfather (stonemason) establishing themselves as innovators in the home building industry.
Over the past 16 years in the industry, Kurt has built a strong reputation for his genuine commitment to superior craftsmanship, knowledge of the top building methods and materials, high-quality customer service, integrity and attention to detail.
Kurt personally works on and manages all aspects on every framing project, and is well-known for developing meaningful relationships with his clients and delivering consistent results.
From the planning phase through to completion, the KOR Construction team is dedicated to being your trusted advocate throughout the entire journey. We value the opportunity to work with you and your architect as the design develops to bring innovative ideas to the table and provide insights on cost-saving opportunities. We also offer in-house custom home designs developed by Scott Rushlow, an award-winning architect.

We had a huge, delayed project at hand with complicated design and truss plans and they put us back on track to finish on time. Elevation of a custom 6900 sq. ft. two story structure requires a lot of organization, detail, teamwork, working equipment and lumber deliveries in stages. These guys did it all in the most seamless and fastest pace possible with short lunch times and minimal breaks. Their reliability was superb, work ethic commendable and they have never missed a day when they were expected to be there!
No hidden costs or extra charges, unless we added something and that too was very reasonable. The work was impeccable and of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Next trades in all commented on what an awesome job the framers had done!
We got to visually walk through each level before the walls went up, which allowed for any changes to be made before a nail was hammered into any piece of lumber!

Journeyman & Experienced Framers
We're growing our team and are seeking full-time journeyman and experienced framers.
The ideal candidates must have residential framing experience, strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Framing luxury and custom homes and cottages as well as new additions (footings, walls, floors, knee walls and roofs)
Following all safety protocols
Communicating effectively with crew members, other trade contractors, clients and property owners
What you’ll need to do it:
Journeyman framers: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience
Experienced framers: Minimum 3+ years of experience
Own transportation (job sites primarily in Durham Region)
Safety boots and hard hat
Basic pouch with hand tools (framing hammer, tape measure, speed square, chalk line and utility knife)
WHMIS certificate and Working at Heights training
