Our story
Kurt’s passion for building began early—he started framing homes while still in high school. Influenced by the creativity and precision of his father’s architectural work, and inspired by the legacy of his grandfather and great-grandfather—both respected tradesmen in the building industry—Kurt knew he was meant to build.
In 2013, he founded KOR Construction, delivering premium framing services for some of the most respected custom home builders in the GTA and Durham Region. Over more than a decade, Kurt’s reputation for quality, reliability, and building excellence made him a trusted name in the industry.
Now, after nearly 20 years of hands-on experience and client success, KOR Construction has evolved into a full-service custom design-build firm, bringing high-end homes, cottages, and major renovations to life from the ground up.

Builder licence
In Ontario, all new home builders and vendors must be licensed through the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HRCA). This licence confirms that a builder meets provincial standards for professionalism, technical skill, financial responsibility, and consumer protection.
As part of the licensing process under the New Home Construction Licensing Act (NHCLA), builders are required to demonstrate core competencies in areas such as business and financial planning and management, project management and supervision, legal requirements, customer service, building codes and Tarion requirements, and construction technology.
In compliance with Section 4 of O. Reg. 626/20 of the NHCLA, KOR Construction proudly displays our active HCRA Licence. This ensures transparency and reaffirms our commitment to delivering quality, integrity, and accountability in every home we build.
